First, they ignore you
Then they ridicule you
And then they attack you and want to burn you
And then they build monuments to you.
—Nicholas Klein, a trade union activist, 1918
Up until the middle of 2016, Donald Trump had gone through the first two parts. Then, till today and continuing, he’s been in the third part. After January 2029, or after he passes away, the monuments may come. But 2024 was spectacular. Hollywood could not have scripted it better (if they were on the right side of history; alas, they are not).
From the March 24, 2024, first-rally launch with a warning about the Deep State, to the court appearances and witch-trial convictions, and the calm in the face of the Biden evaporation on national television (the first debate on June 27, 2024), to literally dodging a bullet in the Butler, Pennsylvania, open-air campaign rally (July 13, 2024), and finally, to a smart campaign delivering all battleground states—and overall, an electoral college vote of 312 (vs. 226 for Harris).
Trump broke a 132-year drought of a president winning two nonconsecutive terms to the Oval Office.
The 2024 campaign may even increase the GOP House majority by an estimated three, but it’s still early in the count. They have gained seats in the Senate as well, increasing their lead from 49-47 to 53-46. Trump himself gained in every age and gender demographic over his 2020 results (except in the women-over-65 cohort, whilst still losing the female vote). He won the popular vote as well, the first time for a Republican since 2004. And Republicans won 8 of 11 gubernatorial races, giving them control now of 27 governorships across the country. Plus, Trump broke a 132-year drought of a president winning two nonconsecutive terms to the Oval Office. It’s not been done since 1892.
The politically savvy panel on The Savvy Street Show predicted it on November 1, 2024 (see time stamp 27:12 to 38:33 for the ranges here).
Of course, most mainstream polls had not forecast such a resounding victory. But the politically savvy panel on The Savvy Street Show predicted it on November 1, 2024 (see time stamp 27:12 to 38:33 for the ranges here).
This was a sophisticated campaign: strong on the ground game (“outreach—get them out to vote,” “visit the hurricane areas”—around 75 million got out there and voted for Trump); witty with their garbage-truck and french-fries gimmicks that got millions of views and made Trump appear like a blue-collar billionaire; reaching out with an “everyman” style, free-flowing, three-hour chat (rather than a formal interview) with that king of podcasters, Joe Rogan (which garnered over 40 million views by election day, now around 49 million); and truly outstanding on securing strategic additions to the team: Elon Musk as a PAC funder and campaigner (who would have thought, even a year ago, that the 300-billion-dollar man would be on the hustings in Pennsylvania for Trump), Vivek Ramaswamy, James (J.D.) Vance, Democrat-turned-Republicans Tulsi Gabbard, and the impassioned RFK Jr. (nephew of the iconic poster child of the Democratic Party, John F. Kennedy). Who said the egoistic Trump was incapable of alliances?
The Global Deep State had Donald Trump tied up in legal chains, their subservient media incessantly put on “experts,” including former Trump staffers that were Deep Staters, to “teach and inform” the “ignorant” young and the “hillbillies” that Trump was a fascist, a madman, a wannabe dictator, a pathological liar, a threat to democracy, a warmonger, a misogynist, a racist, unfit for public office, unhinged, mentally unstable … they haven’t stopped yet; they won’t, “dark times” are forecast.
They ceased, for a day or two, only when Trump survived the first assassination attempt by half an inch, and even then, blamed the climate of violence as being created by Trump’s rhetoric, not Biden’s (that Trump is a born-again Hitler who must be stopped by any means). No president has ever been more hated by the media; Richard Nixon was treated like an angel compared to this.
But the hardworking rural people, some of the urban, and many of the young (particularly, the much-maligned-as-toxic men), and many of the legal Latinos, saw through it all. Thank you, Rural America, you saved the First Amendment from being trampled upon, you saved the Declaration of Independence from becoming a frail, sea-scroll vestige of long-forgotten times.
The neo-Marxists now control academe (over 95% of all professors are left leaning in the humanities) and most of mainstream media. One terrible fallout of this state of affairs is the rural and non-college-educated folks’ extreme distrust of the intelligentsia, which translates into a distrust of the cultured high-brow.
Polite and articulate? The speaker must be one of them—can’t be trusted!
Polite and articulate? The speaker must be one of them—can’t be trusted!
In my opinion, this is the reason that saw Rand Paul, Marco Rubio, and Ted Cruz lose the 2016 nomination to Trump, and the same reason which saw the likes of Vivek Ramaswamy, Nikki Haley, Ron De Santis and others in 2024, securing fewer primary votes, in aggregate, than Donald Trump by himself.
In 2016, Trump was deliberately not ending his sentences, trying hard to appear much more “hillbilly” than his interview with Oprah Winfrey in 1988 would have suggested. It worked. Instinctually, he knew of the distrust of the intellectual. Occasionally, in a state-of-the-union address or two, he let his guard down and spoke articulately.
One major challenge that lies ahead is to get the Trump voters to now discern the good intellectual from the bad one and restore faith in intelligence itself. Why?

Half as old as his boss, heir-apparent J. D. Vance, now 39 to Trump’s 78, is a graduate of the prestigious Yale Law School, no less (the same alma mater as Bill and Hillary Clinton’s). Usha Vance (J. D.’s wife) and Vivek Ramaswamy (also 39) were Vance’s classmates at Yale, and the Vances named their son Vivek.
2028 is only four years away. Cruz, Rubio, Musk, and ex-Fox News’ Megyn Kelly—all are 53 today, all born within a year of each other. These are extremely clever people, not afraid to be articulate. And they, along with the astute Vance and the brainy Ramaswamy, are the party’s future.
But first, the task at hand: The Global Deep State is finally showing signs of vulnerability. They stretched it too far when Harris indirectly attacked Christianity, by promoting transgenderism surgeries for inmates paid by taxpayers in 2019 (fact checked by WCNC). Losing a chunk of the Christian vote in the US, the way Harris managed it (see here, time stamp 2.33 to 4.04, especially the slide from 4:00 to 4: 04) is still suicidal, and it may continue to be so for years to come.
Control of the House (at this stage, likely, but not certain), Senate, and Oval Office should let Trump become free with his language—I heard you gasp—he has not been free actually; he was constrained by the election. However, he will never fight another presidential election battle again.
He and his fellow Republicans, who do not face an election till the 2026 midterms, can now attack “the climate emergency” as a scam, openly; they can call “change of gender” a Marxist biological fantasy (the chromosomal make up—XX or XY—which determines your gender, is not alterable by surgery); they can discuss, freely, a scale down of NATO; and, God forbid, they can even send Ron Paul around the world to discuss a default on US sovereign bonds.
Best of all, now they can even admit to adopting Project 2025, or at least all its recommendations (save a national abortion ban, which Trump quite rightly refuses to countenance). It is with all this blunt talk that they will serve as a beacon to other conservative parties in the West and the East, some of whom have become very weak-kneed in the face of the Global Deep State assault on our freedoms. The US will benefit from other sovereign anti-Deep State allies far more than it does from NATO; hence, inspiring them has its merits—we are fighting a global culture war.
Yes, mainstream media will play obstructionist. The media be damned, they will keep implying that Trump voters are uneducated, uninformed, unintelligent hillbillies anyway—so, let’s even discuss if media licensing itself should be removed (it should be).
Now is the time to tell-all to all. Let’s strike. The iron is hot.
Remember, they will stop at nothing. Is it someone on the left, perhaps Antifa or the “false flag” wing of the mainstream media, sending those racist text messages, in a new ploy to frame Trump voters as racist?
But the American everyman and everywoman have proven smarter than the intelligentsia. They are no longer easily fooled.
Now is the time to tell-all to all. Let’s strike. The iron is hot.
